Gudavi Bird Sanctuary

Gudavi Bird Sanctuary is situated in the neat town of Sorab, next to Gudvi Lake. It is also famous for being home to migratory birds including Little Cormorant, Indian Cormorant, and Jungle Fowl, which makes the atmosphere mesmerizing during the season from July to October.

Bonal Bird Sanctuary

Another most visited bird sanctuary in Karnataka is the Bonal Bird Sanctuary located on the outskirts of Shorapur province. It is famous for the variety of migratory birds that show beauty every year, some of which are the purple heron and the white-necked stork.

Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary

A beautifully constructed dam on the Kaveri River inspired the development of the islands of Ranganathittu. At a drive of 16 km from the city of Mysore, the bird sanctuary is one of the most favorite bird sanctuaries of exotic migratory birds like Heron, River Tern, White Ibis, Partridge, Spoonbills, and other exotic birds from all over the world. Not only in the state, but Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is also one of the most exotic bird sanctuaries in the whole of India.

Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary

This bird sanctuary is not only picturesque but also plays a very important role in maintaining balance in the ecosystem. The safe haven is arranged on an island that traverses a space of 1.14 squares of land and is surrounded by backwoods. More than 5,000 birds migrate here from the July to September belt.

Magadi Bird Sanctuary

Magadi Bird Sanctuary is famous for the much-awaited variety of Bar-headed Goose which really makes the place serene and utopian. It has been home to this lovely species for over a decade and is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Karnataka.
