Fiji’s Care Fiji Commitment (CFC) is a WHO-approved standard of best-practice and safety measures that have allowed Fiji to reopen as one of the world’s safest tourism destinations.

Fiji has reopened as one of the world’s safest tourism destinations.

All of this is thanks to Fiji’s Care Fiji Commitment (CFC), a WHO-approved standard of best-practice and safety measures. We’ve got nearly every tourism business including hotels, transport providers, experienced operators, and many restaurants all part of the CFC. You will be able to see the official list of all the local businesses who have made the Care Fiji Commitment here.

Every tourism business will also have a dedicated Wellness Ambassador who is responsible for rolling out these enhanced health and safety measures across the business and keeping everybody safe.

Over 90% of the target population in Fiji are now fully vaccinated, ensuring safety for everyone, Fiji has opened its borders for Quarantine Free travel to tourists from Travel Partner Countries who are fully vaccinated.

The CFC also provides you and your clients with the reassurance that the only people you interact with during your travels will be vaccinated.

In recognition of the Care Fiji Commitment, the World Travel and Tourism Council declared Fiji as a ‘Safe Travels’ destination. You can be assured that we are ready to welcome you and your clients back!

For more information about health and safety measures on our national airline and international airport, visit Fiji Airways and Fiji Airports Ltd.

The Care Fiji Commitment is a destination-wide assurance that Fiji is ready to welcome back travellers to its shores. It is a program developed to restore and increase consumer and trade confidence in travelling to Fiji. It gives our tourism friends the tools they need to operate safely and be aligned with Fiji’s COVID-19 Safe Guidelines. Our vision is that the Care Fiji Commitment is visible to travellers pre and during their visit to give them absolute confidence that Fiji is ready to welcome visitors back.

A destination-wide programme requires significant consultation to be robust and actionable. This programme was developed in conjunction with the following stakeholders:

Tourism Recovery Team – initial and ongoing consultation
COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Taskforce – input and endorsement
FHTA – implementation partner
Ministry of Health and Medical Services – development of training & endorsement
Ministry of Commerce, Tourism, Trade and Transport and UNWTO – consultation and
exchange of information on COVID-19 Safe Guidelines
Tourism Industry Partners – consultation on Action Plan templates
Google Education – training implementation partner
Aspen Medical- accreditation partner
