Brooklyn Bridge Park is a unique example of urban design. Stretching over 20 kilometers along the Brooklyn River, it is a green place to rest and relax in what used to be the industrial area of a Brooklyn port. It also offers good views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the city across the river.
The park was built following the idea of sustainable and environmentally friendly architecture, through the use of recycled materials. However, Brooklyn Bridge Park is not just a piece of land with plants, but there are a lot of attractions and facilities here, such as a carousel, basketball or beach volleyball courts, a picnic area, restaurants, and some shops.
Last but not least, if you like Bollywood movies, this is the park featured in Kal Ho Naa Ho.
