Year-round tours on an unusual vessel start on Baikal: Now you can go to the most inaccessible corners of Baikal on the Biryusa, a comfortable hovercraft.
The new ship was made by order of the company “Vodokhod”. It is able to move on waves, on snow up to one meter deep, and even on broken ice. On smooth water, Biryusa can reach speeds of up to 60 km/h, and on snow and ice – 75 km/h. This is the largest such ship in Russia: its length is 18.5 meters and it can accommodate 36 passengers.
“Biryusa” can moor to any place and at any time of the year, so that the main attractions of Baikal – the thermal springs of the Chivyrkuisky Bay, the islands of Ogoy, and Olkhon, Peschanaya Bay – will open from a new side.
In 2022, Biryusa will make 11 winter and 15 summer tours from Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk. The duration of the ” Baikal Expedition ” is 6-10 days, the estimated cost is from 100 thousand rubles per person. The all-inclusive route with overnight stays in hotels on the shore will pass through the most iconic points – Listvyanka, Barguzinsky, and Chivyrkuisky bays, Zmeevaya Bay, Ushkany, and other islands.
