Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand is a state located in the northern part of India, bordered by Nepal, Tibet, and several Indian states. The state is known for its natural beauty, with the Himalayas running through it. The state is home to many famous Hindu pilgrimage sites such as the Char Dham (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath), Rishikesh, and Haridwar. The state is also known for its beautiful valleys such as the Nainital and Mussoorie, and the hill stations such as Auli, and Lansdowne. The state is also known for its rich biodiversity, many national parks and wildlife sanctuaries such as Corbett National Park, Rajaji National Park and Govind Pashu Vihar Wildlife Sanctuary. The state’s economy is primarily based on agriculture and tourism. The official language is Hindi.
