Chandigarh

Chandigarh is a union territory and the capital of the Indian states of Punjab and Haryana. It is also known as “The City Beautiful” because of its well-planned layout and architecture. The city was designed by the French architect Le Corbusier and is considered a masterpiece of urban planning. The city is divided into various sectors, each with its own distinct character and amenities. The city also has many parks and gardens, including the famous Sukhna Lake and the Rock Garden. The economy of Chandigarh is mainly driven by the service sector, with a large number of government employees and a growing IT industry. Chandigarh is also a major educational and research hub. The official languages are Hindi and Punjabi.
