19-year-old Belgian Zara Rutherford crossed five continents in an ultralight aircraft. She entered the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest woman in history to do so.
Zara went around the world in August, in 155 days she flew 51,000 kilometers and visited 52 countries.
The flight was supposed to take three months, but due to bad weather and numerous delays, Zara spent a month in Alaska, and then another 41 days in Russia. Here she visited Chukotka, Magadan, Primorye, and Khabarovsk Territory.
“The most difficult thing was to fly over Siberia – it was very cold,” said Zara
The girl noted that she was looking forward to telling people about her experience in order to inspire everyone to crazy feats.
The previous solo flight record was held by 30-year-old American aviator Shaeste Wise.
